- Descripción: This before and after picture demonstrates the importance of the surgical rehabilitation in Graves’s ophthalmopathy. To achieve this result, five step by step surgical procedures were performed as follows: 1 – Orbital decompression; 2 – Strabismus; 3 – Spacer for lower eyelid retraction; 4 – Upper eyelid retraction; 5 – Upper blepharoplasty. Besides the visual rehabilitation, the treatment is responsible for patient’s social rehabilitation: The smile on her after picture is the most important part of the treatment’s results.
